The Most Innovative Fundraising Award offers a prize of £300 to each of the four members on the winning team plus a £3,000 donation in the team’s name to one of the many community projects that Oxfam or the Gurkha Welfare Trust support.

Oxfam's head of events and community fundraising, Gareth Simpson, said:

"This competition is a fantastic idea because it provides an opportunity for teams to get the recognition they deserve for their fundraising efforts, while also ensuring a further £3,000 is donated to Oxfam or the Ghurka Welfare Trust."

Entrants for the award must finish the walk and submit a 300-word description that illustrates the creative and resourceful way that the team chose to raise money for the event. Photographs are welcome where applicable. Nominations made on behalf of another team will also be accepted.

The team that wins the Most Innovative Fundraising Award will be announced at an Oxfam’s Trailwalker celebration to be held 26 October 2007 at the Holiday Inn London – Regents Park Hotel. The deadline to submit entries is 15 August 2007.
