State Street is one of only three US-based financial services firms currently listed on both indexes this year.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide and provide asset managers with reliable, objective benchmarks to manage sustainability portfolios. Its results influence the investment decisions of asset managers in 15 countries who have licensed the DJSI family as benchmarks for a variety of sustainability-driven portfolios. The DJSI-based investment vehicles include approximately US$5.6 billion in assets under management.

The annual review of the DJSI is based on an assessment of corporate economic, environmental and social performance. State Street received a high assessment for its internal code of conduct, business product offerings with an environmental component and risk management practices, among others.
